Government Relation Manager
Based: Jakarta Indonesia

Position Purposes:
The scope and breath of the BUs in Indonesia require extensive interaction with government agencies, license granters, regulators, police, media and NGOs. The incumbent will be responsible for developing the relationships with the necessary local, provincial and national government agencies to facilitate Cargill’s business operations in Indonesia. In addition, coordinating with the Communications &CSR managers to develop an external communications strategy and leverage corporate and BU CR programs and the Corporate Affairs Director for CTP.
Primary Function :
This function will support the company’s current as well as long term business objectives by helping to create a dialogue with government authorities. This position will focus on developing and implementing plans and strategies enhancing the company’s stakeholder reputation with respect to its businesses in Indonesia. Therefore this position is the dedicated go-to person for non-plantation BUs in Indonesia.

Requirements :

At least 5 years professional experience, including a minimum of three years managing government relations or policy programs (or similar position) focusing on ministries and government agencies that Cargill regular interacts in a corporate or similar environment, preferably with a Western multinational corporation.

Experience in with food and/or agriculture industry will be an advantage.

Holds Bachelor Degree From Reputable University

Substantial experience in dealing with the government agencies in Central Government as well as an in-depth understanding of how these processes work at the provincial and local levels. In-depth understanding of the political process, including the interaction of government, law, and politics. Proven track record of successes in this area will include strong program management skills.

Proven leadership skills, and help build consensus and work across BUs and groups to achieve objectives. This person knows how to work successfully in an project based environment where roles and responsibilities may not be clear defined at all times.

Must be a native Indonesia Bahasa speaker and writer.
