Responsibilities:
Research Analyst

 

Main activities is assisting in the forecasting of the Palm Supply and Demand:

• Conduct regular crop surveys in Indonesia with the team (every 3 months).
• Conduct regular crop surveys in Malaysia with the team (every 4 months). Driving is required.
• Compile and review the data collected.
• Assist to provide timely and quality qualitative and quantitative in-depth reviews and recommendations of the data collected.
• Track/monitor shipments in and out of Indonesia/Malaysia. Compile the shipments information available and assist to project shipment pace for the month.
• Assist to provide regular update to Singapore office on matters helpful for the palm Supply & Demand forecasting, such as rainfall and weather changes, port
• Assist to liaise with governmental bodies/trade associations for data that could bring an added value to the Supply & Demand, such as mature area, immature areas, oil yield, etc.
• Establish regular communications with personnel in the Singapore office.
• Any other tasks/projects, as and when required.

Finance Analyst/Treasury Supervisor

• Manage and coordinate Treasury function including cash flow management, foreign exchange management and credit & counter-party risk management (such as country risk, bank risk and customer risk)
• Serve as the JV partner’s representative to prepare regular management reports required by the company.
• Leverage JV partner's network to recommend and implement improvements to overall treasury processes
• Ensure that cash flow is adequate to allow it to operate effectively
• Regularly evaluate and determine the most cost-effective funding alternatives with CFO and Financial Controller
• Ensure debt covenant compliance and participate in negotiation of local loan agreements
• Serve as the day-to-day interface with the commercial banks and financial institutions and maintaining positive working relationships with them
• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies relating to treasury activities (cash, investments, debt, capital, interest, derivatives, foreign exchange, etc.) including FAS 133
• Perform credit analysis for potential counterparties based on approved credit rating methodology and propose limits.
• Regularly monitor of trade limits and escalate to management for any breach detected
• Work with the JV partner's to understand the partner's monthly, quarterly, half year and full year financial reporting requirements
• Submit all required financial reports to the partner in a timely manner for monthly and quarterly management reporting

 

Requirements:

Research Analyst

• Preferably with a tertiary degree with Statistical Analysis background and/or with agricultural knowledge and interest. Those without tertiary degree but has minimum 3 years of working experience in data analysis of agricultural products or commodities are also welcome.
• Able to converse and write well in English.
• Able to travel frequently and enjoy outdoor activities.
• Have a flair for forecasting and analysis work.
• A good team player.
• Able to socialize and good at gathering information.
• Possess a valid driving license and able to drive well.

Finance Analyst/Treasury Supervisor

• Minimum 5 years of relevant treasury operations or banking experience with strong operational cash management. Preferably from Palm Oils industry.
• Possess strong numeracy skills and is detail oriented.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have confidence and maturity to deal with all levels of staff.
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, strong business acumen and technical expertise in all areas of global finance and accounting.
• Ability to influence, excellent business judgment and negotiation skills.
• Independent and self starter with ability to work on own initiative
