GoodHope Asia Holdings Limited is the groups’ plantations in Indonesia who has a land bank in excess of 100,000 hectares of plantations and mills in several provinces of Indonesia. Conservation Assistant [ACON]

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or post graduate in Forestry, Conservation Biology, Ecology, Plant Taxonomist, Primatologist
• A minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in relevant field conservation/biodiversity management
• Having certification: HCV management & monitoring, others biodiversit & wildlife course

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement conservation/biodiversity management plan and conduct regular monitoring, field survey and performance evaluation including delivery of conservation/biodiversity awareness to employee and staff. Regularly report the progress of the compliance.
• Implement and evaluate in all estate through:
  • Prepare short term and medium to long term conservation activities plans and verify/coordinate the budgets for RO and all estate. Submit proposals and obtain necessary internal approvals for implementation.
  • Identity and up-date the applicable conservation/biodiversity standard including required license and evaluate the compliance status.
  • Support in liaise with consultants and ensure timely receipt of conservation/biodiversity projects delivery and report.
  • Setting and carried up of conservation/biodiversity systems and measurement program for reporting performance of all estate, review of progress and deriving action plans for improvements where necessary.
  • Develop and review conservation/biodiversity procedures/programs in accordance with practicable standards (HCV etc) and ensuring the effectiveness of its implementation, and benchmark with industry best practice relating to plantation and milling industry.
  • Adhere to all conservation/biodiversity issues and implement mitigation and prevention action accordingly.
  • Conduct investigation of conservation/biodiversity systems and measurement program to develop solutions and prevent recurrence
  • Lead in the investigation of accidents or injuries/illnesses to develop solutions and prevent recurrence
  • Build effective relation with relevant NGOs, universities and government officer
  • Provide advisory/technical support related to conservation and biodiversity on management process, installation of new equipment and facilities at estate area.
