Land Acquisition Manager or Superintendent for Fast Growing Coal and Minerals Mining Company

Land Acquisition Manager

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the land acquisition process, including obtaining approvals and permits from local authorities.
Develop a broad understanding of the area and local environment.
Develop and maintain the project’s environmental management system in accordance with the local laws and company policies
Provide proactive advice to all project team on project permit requirements, legislative developments and emerging best practices in the area of environmental management.
Work with the local authorities in specific areas for acquisition of land
Identify acquisition opportunities through contacts with brokers, banks, corporate, local government units, landowners, lawyers, planners etc.
Lead the activities to obtain permits and approvals from local government authorities.
Facilitate and assist project team in identifying and assessing project risks for activities in the area
Establish and maintain environmental management audits process to periodically measure performance against plan and compliance with local statutory requirements.
Manage company’s contract of works (CoW) for fulfilling company’s obligation and arrange project permits for each phase of the project
Work with local communities on social environment matters relevant to activities of rehabilitation of the project
Develop, lead, and maintain cordial relations with local community, government bodies and authorities on a sustainable basis.
Develop and implement community relation and development plan

Requirements:

Indonesian, Male, age 35- 45. Education: At least S-1 Degree in Forestry or Conservation of Forest Resources, Mine Engineering, Law, or other related Science.
Hands-on and proven / successful track record/ experience as Land Acquisition Manager or Superintendent with reputable mining, agro forestry company, agro plantation industry. At least 10-15 years experience related with Land Acquisition activities with either multinational or national companies engaged in the mining or agro forestry related sector.
Broad understanding of the health, safety, environment, and sustainable practices in the related mining, agro forestry industry.
Well-developed network and contacts with local community, local authorities, brokers, landowners, lawyers, planners, legislative.
Outgoing personality, enjoys traveling to the mine sites, good team player.
Strong leadership with strong interpersonal communication skills.
