We have large greenhouse farms in both Malaysia and New Zealand as well as processing factories. In addition we have a network of contract farmers in other countries giving us an assured supply of quality salads all year round.

Horticulturist
(Pahang - Based at Genting Highlands)

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of the pest and disease control program
- Ensure the continuous production of quality nursery plants for both the salad lettuce and herb production
- Manage the hydroponic production systems for lettuce
- Manage the team of crop workers to ensure that all cultural operations are carried out efficiently and properly
- Coordinate grow programs with the sales and processing managers
- Monitor and ensure that herb production output from soil beds and pots under greenhouse are sufficient for current and anticipated demand for each herb type.
- Supervise the harvesting and post harvest handling of the crops
- Ensure packet boxes of herbs are placed in the correct temperate controlled holding area prior to loading of lorries.
- Ensure the GAP requirements and other pre-requisites for our other compliance protocols are adhered to.
Requirements:
- Degree or other qualification in Horticulture/Plant Sciences
- Minimum 8 years relevant working experience
- Hydroponics experience in greenhouse production of salad crops
- Good understanding of soil and pot compost growing methods with irrigation
- Possess an excellent knowledge of GAP and other related protocols to do with post harvest
- Good organizational skill and show good analytical skill
- Good communications, team player, and very good command of English
- Willing to relocate
- Good IT skills
