Senior Assistant
(Sumatera Selatan - Mukut, Palembang)

Responsibilities:

Position Purpose:

• Responsible for the profitable and efficient running of the estate, which includes the nursery, land clearing, planting, field maintenance, harvesting, transport and the running of emplacement infrastructure.
  

Main Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the company’s development of innovations, long term strategies, objectives and plans.
• Develop and strengthen working relationships with other departments and peers at other group companies.
• Develop and recommend strategies for the estate to the field manager.
• Develop with Estate Manager the operating and capital budgets for the estate.
• Implement the estate operating budget and capital budget to ensure the profitability and long term viability of the company.
• Implement the budget within agreed financial, physical, time, quality and efficiency parameter.
• Manage the estate to ensure targets are achieved through efficient use of human, financial, physical and information resources.
• Lead the estate team and maintenance productive working relationships and team spirit in the estate and with other estates.
• Ensure that the estate is efficiently manned and supervised to ensure maximum production and the cost effective completion of work program to required standards.
  Perform other relevant tasks required by Management in day to day operation.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree majoring in Agronomy or graduated from vocational school of agriculture/plantation minimum 10 years experience in palm oil plantation.
• Having minimum 5 years experience in land clearing for swamp area.
• Having minimum 2 years experience in seed cultivation of palm oil.
• Good command in English (oral and written).
• Computer literate.
• Willing to be placed in remote area (Mukut, Palembang, South Sumatra).
