Job Purpose
The new research station of the Mars Regional Cocoa Centre (MRCC) in Pare-Pare will start with construction and development of research field trials so we need to hire a scientist, who will plan, lead and overview all the research projects in the new Mars Research Station in Pare-Pare. The hired scientist will have to manage the establishment and functioning of the MRCC research station in Pare-Pare by using the best agronomic and management practices. Provide report on progress of field trials and raise any issues on agronomic approaches and proactively find solutions

Requirements
- PhD agricultural or other relevant field with an excellent knowledge of agricultural theory and with practical experience in managing field research.
- Must have demonstrated success in leading field research. Experience in Cocoa will be an advantage.
- Skilled in experimental design and statistical analysis and their application to agricultural field research.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesian – both speaking and writing with demonstrated skill in report writing.
- Must be adept in use of basic office programs, statistical analysis software, multimedia, and telecommunication tools.
