We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to join us in the following opening - Asst Research  & Development Manager To be base in Singapore HQ office traveling  to site  / projects within HQ's group of plantation Research Asst Manager Kalimantan Selatan, Papua, Riau Responsibilities: Asst Research & Development Manager     Objective: To set up a platform and encourage in house scientist (China) for research and development and expedite transfer of Oil Palm and Rubber technologies in order to introduce future super breed materials of High Yielding , disease resistant, drought resistant, environment friendly, less workers intensive with implement of Mechanization   Agronomist: Soil analysis, leaf analysis, fertilizer recommendation and formulation , method/efficiency of fertilizer application, vegetative measurement , water management(Low line area) , meteorological analysis, selection and recommendation of cost efficient weedicideapplication, sample block. Fertilizer trail plot   Entomologist: to carry out study on potential pests that may damage the tree and cause economic injuries. To development a pest census system and identify the threshold level, recommendation or actions plan to counter outbreak of pest. Application of Integrated Pest Management system, reduce usage of pesticide and choose alternative control such as biological control using natural enemies (beneficial insects) , virus or bacteria.   Plant Diseases   Rubber   Study root diseases and the control measure, American leaf Blight disease.   Oil Palm   Ganodermadisease and control measure.   Plant Breeding and Tissue Culture   Study genetic and carry out breeding program both for seeds production as well as Tissue Culture(Clone Materials). Improve planting material in term of production, disease resistant, drought resistant, early yielding and etc. Field Mechanization   Update the current status of field mechanization available in the market and carry out further fine tuning and improvement ,practical technologies yet simple to apply to reduce work force intensiveand increase productivities Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, - Agriculture/Aquaculture/Forestry, Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or equivalent. At least 10 year(s) of RELEVANT working experience in the related field is required for this position.
