Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for developing and managing a medium-sized corn plantation, including land preparation, procurement of materials, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, drying and selling
- Recruitment of new employees as required for the development and operation of the enlarged farm
- Preparation of monthly budgets to be agreed with senior management
- Preparation of regular operational reports for senior management
- Working closely with senior management to evaluate expansion opportunities
Requirements
- Very good english language skills, both spoken and written; ability also to speak Bahasa Indonesia is preferable
- Bachelor’s (and/or higher) degree in Agriculture (or a related discipline) from a recognized institution.
- At least 10 years of experience of working for an international company with non Indonesian managers
- At least 3 years experience of working for an international company with non Indonesian managers
- Experience of successfully developing greenfield agriculture projects, including overall project management, land clearing, infrastructure design and installation (drainage, irrigation, access roads, etc.), farm planning/implementation and recruitment.
- Recent experience of mechanized farming and moderm crop drying equipment
- Experience of managing a team of at least 20 people
- Willing to work/live on site in Gorontalo Utara
- Highly motivated and able to operate independently within a pre-agreed framework
- Computer and internet literate

PT Saudi Indonesia Multi Investment (SIMI) is an integrated corn producer based in Sumalata, North Gorontalo, Sulawesi, Indonesia. It has completed construction of a state-of-the art corn drying facility and is an the process of acquiring new land on which to expand its farming operations. The company is therefore seeking to appoint a Project Manager to manage the development of the new land and the operation of the enlarged corn farm.
