Job Description
What you'd do?
As part of the role you will be expected to:
- Apply your analytical skills and knowledge of land use and forestry issues in Indonesia in a range of contexts; contributing to data gathering, analysis and providing inputs on recommendations within a range of projects, including forestry and land use public policy, market mechanisms for conservation and sustainable land use (e.g. REDD+), forestry and agriculture supply chains analysis and strategy development for private sector companies in involved in agriculture and forestry operations
- Contribute to the development of cutting-edge thought leadership on current environmental and sustainable development themes
- Support project economics and administration
- Support the team with business development and client relationship activities
- Build your knowledge, skills and expertise
- Travel to client sites in Indonesia and more widely in South East Asia
- Either a Masters Degree or Bachelor degree in forestry and land use change, natural resource economics, environmental management or a related subject
- Has GPA 3.00 out of 4.00
- Has 0 up to 2 years of working experience in similar position. Fresh graduate are welcome to apply.
- Preferebly has experience in developing or consulting on REDD+/forest carbon projects; sustainable commodities supply chains and working with sustainability standards such as FSC and RSPO
- Strong analytical, project management and report writing skills and excellent attention to detail
- High level of competence with excel and other computational analysis tools
- Good awareness of the concepts of corporate sustainability and green growth
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English
