The Jakarta office of Golder Associates is immediate opening for a Socio-Cultural Consultant seeking a challenging position with a growth oriented company.
Socio-Cultural Consultant
Roles and responsibilities:
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
Additional Information
- Conducting socio-cultural studies as part of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, baseline studies etc
- Conducting stakeholder mapping and consultation activities within Golder projects
- Developing the Golder social practices (e.g. as mentioned under the IFC PErformance Standards 1, 5, 7 and 8)
- Assist in marketing Golder's environmental and social services
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams
The preferred candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Degree in social science (socio-cultural, anthropology)
- Minimum of 6 years experience should preferably include work with oil and gas and mining companies covering social impact assessments and baseline studies, equator principle assessment, public participation processes
- Conversant with Microsoft Office programs
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Intakin certification as AMDAL teal leader or study leader would be an extra qualification
