We are a well established International agro-commodities group working in coffee supply chain in West Lampung. We work closely with farmers to develop the coffee supply chain and ensure traceability of the coffee. Projects and certification programs we develop aims to maintain and raise smallholder’s incomes through promoting sustainable coffee production, assisting farmers to meet with certification standards and increasing quality and productivity of the coffee. Joining an existing team of 3 agronomists, you will actively take part of a project starting in October 2012. An evolution within the company is to consider and will be then discussed upon project achievement. Field Agronomist / Internal Control System (ICS) Muara Enim (Sumatera Selatan) - Semendo Responsibilities: Conducting field work and visiting farms, farmer groups and suppliers to maintain close contact between the company and its partners, with the primary objective to ensure regular and stable coffee purchases. To improve the quality and productivity at farm level and propose/develop adapted solutions and services to farmers to help them in achieving these objectives. Farmers training on Good agricultural practices and implement projects in the field to participate to the development and sustainability of the coffee supply chain. Helping farmers to implements actions in order to help them to meet with certification requirements (social,technical,economical and environmental requirements) and succeed in certification audits. To ensure the traceability of the coffee purchased from farmers, with the necessary documents. Requirements: Male / Female University Degree. majoring Agronomist Willing to be located in Semendo, Muara Enim District, South Sumatra Province (position based in the field) Minimum 1 year of related job experience in similar position would be a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Hard worker, ability to work under pressure and in field conditions Good proficiency in English Very organized Compensation package is competitive; to be discussed regarding experience and incentives.
