DESKRIPSI PEKERJAAN
To assist and carry out tissue culture programmes, in particular to carry out day to day routine activities in sampling (leaf, meristem, embryo), culturing and monitoring in vitro cultures as well as setting up experiments to study effects of media components, ortets and the culture environment, with emphasis on oil palm and rubber tissue culture
- To assist in all aspects of plant tissue sampling programmes (cloning selected plant material, experimental design, planting, recording, etc)
- To assist and report on progress in plant tissue culture
- To ensure strict standards of quality control are maintained
- To set up experiments to develop new methods for oil palm cloning
- To assist in field planting
- To monitor equipment function
- To work interactively with other Biotechnology laboratories as well as Agronomy, Pathology and Crop Protection
Requirements :
- All applicants must have a good university degree in a relevant subject
- Fluent in English and some experience in related fields would be advantage
