MARS REGIONAL COCOA CENTRE (MRCC)- AGRONOMIST

Job Purpose

• Organizing and leading all field activities in MRCC under the supervision and coordination of MRCC field coordinator. Preparation of land for planting, fertilizer applications and soil management, planting of cocoa trees and their most appropriate maintenance.
• Supporting the evaluation of field trials where needed.
• Provide report on progress of field trials and raise any issues on agronomic approaches and proactively find solutions
• Provide expenditure and propose budget report of monthly activities
• Provide field activities plan, supervise/coordinating – control, monitor the progress of field  trial activities,  and provide support to the field assistant on delivery of the activities
• Ensure all the agriculture input and tools is available and ready to use at all time as planned

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Agronomy
• Good analytical thinking & Interpersonal Skill. Good command in English for both written and verbally.
• Strong computer skills
• Experience in cocoa farm management
• Willing to be placed in MAKASSAR
