We invite suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:

ESTATE MANAGER

Business Unit: TOA

Based: Mukut, South Sumatera

Responsibility:

• New estate development – preparation and planting.

1. Preparation and then management of estate budget.
2. Timely execution of estate activities within stipulated budget
3. Infrastructure of roads, bridges, buildings and equipment assets
4. Optimize ffb quality/quantity & ensure timely delivery to mill
5. Balance upkeep & operational cost against productivity of the palms

• People Manager and developer

1. Identify, recruit & develop/coach estate talent in the team
2. Provide coaching and training to immediate subordinates & other ranks in the estate
3. Inculcate a culture of high performance and innovative work practice
4. Instill a culture of trust and collaborative to engage team

• Establish and enforce safety regulation

1. Responsible for ensuring that safety guidelines and procedures are in place
2. Ensure that all estate personnel are trained & practice safe work procedures

• Maintenance of Village Infrastructure

1. Work with site GA team to ensure that village infrastructure & facilities, e.g. housing, schools, clinics, etc are in good conditions
2. Work with Security team to ensure that village is safe and free of unauthorized residents

Requirements:

• Degree in Agriculture / Tropical Sciences with extensive tropical plantation crops experience, preferably in oil palm
• 5 years or more direct field experience in a managerial rank with direct budget control & oversight responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years of oil palm operational experience with ever-increasing management responsibilities.
• Experience in smallholder & KKPA relationship management
• Realized/known accomplishment/achievement in greenfield development & mature development management.
• Budgetting, Crop forecasting, Agriculture Systems Management capability
• Functional expertise in palm oil estates and palm oil mill operational practices
• Able to deal with tough situations and make difficult decisions to enable operational excellence
• Self-starter and proactive to enable and sustain results.
• High degree of problem-solving capabilities.
• Good interpersonal and leadership experience & capabilities.
• English language skills will be an advantage.
