Forest Management & Verification Services Coordinator – RACERT Division Bali
Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to FM certification and verification services inquires from current and potential clients;
- Receive and follow-up on FM applications for certification;
- Provide support to Rainforest Alliances’ Forestry Management (FM) team and Certification Administration Coordinator in certification services functions:
- Support Asia-Pacific office in conducting certification administrative functions;
- Schedule and conduct FM certification and verification services assessments and on-site audits as requested;
- Draft reports for assessments and audits performed;
- Perform certification task management functions for FM certification and verification services work;
- Write and present budgets to FM clients for assessments and audits;
- Record and track all FM and verification services tasks as assigned from service agreement through final report review;
- Assist Forest Management and Verification Associate with the final certification contracting, suspensions/terminations;
- Ensure that all tasks are done as required to comply with job completion requirements;
- Provide support for verification services work;
- Identify ways to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the FM and verification services in the region within the context of FSC requirements and program goals and objectives;
- Assist in the development of materials and programs to train consultants to perform assessments and audits as requested;
- Support the development and launch of new products and services (e.g., SmartStep, Controlled Wood);
- Assist in field testing of new products and further develop new FM products; and
- Other Duties as assigned.
Position Summary:
Forest Management and Verification Services Coordinator will be responsible for providing FM and Verification services and to support the sale and development of the market for Rainforest Alliance FM certification and verification services to clients in the Asia-Pacific region. Primary focus will be on FSC FM, CW, Carbon and Legality Verification. S/he will assist Forest Certification and Verification Services Associate in managing FM clients portfolio in the region through coordination of local representatives and partners, but will mainly focus and have responsibility to manage and develop the FM certification and verification services in Asia-Pacific region.

- Forest Management & Verification Services Associate, Asia Pacific – RACERT Division
Requirements:
- Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management or related field required; Advance degree preferred;
- 2 to 3 years work experience in forestry or related field preferred;
- Environmental management system or other auditor training experience preferred;
- Knowledge of Rainforest Alliance Certification and/or FSC certification a plus;
- Prior auditing experience, particularly having trained in ISO for Lead Auditor preferred;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with other MS Office applications;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia; other languages a plus; and
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

- Commensurate with experience.
