Our company is looking for a MapInfo digitizer who can trace land features well, classify consistently and work in rough conditions.   As field mapper you will work with MapInfo and make site visits to speed up the digitizing process of mapping estates.  You are the COMMUNICATOR between the survey data and mapping data. Field Mapper Jakarta Raya Responsibilities: Fill out field mapper report on each plantation visited. Write a daily log of the tasks accomplished, challenges and areas visited. Focus on the mapping and digitizing certain aspects of land. Make sure that the Mapping and Imagery Department at Earthline understands the map data. Make sure that the survey team understands the mapping issues. Write clear comments in the attribute table so that there is not a misunderstanding in the office. Requirements: Good digitizer.  Pays attention to details. Understands Geographic Information Systems. Confident and self-motivated. Willing to travel, get dirty and work in the field (65% of time, maybe more). English proficiency. Flexible. Work Activities: Processing Map Data — Using MapInfo and GPS devices to enter data gathered in the field.  Processing Information — Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data. Documenting/Recording Information — Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form. Communicating with plantation and estate employees – Discuss goals and plans with clients so that we create maps that they need.
