Our principal activities consist of responsible and sustainable forest management, log harvesting, lumber processing and the sales and marketing of logs and lumber products.

HSE Officer/ Senior Officer (Station in South America)
Suriname

Responsibilities:

• Fulfill all HSE regulatory requirements with strict compliance to local labour regulation in-line with the Health & Safety policy of the company.
• Initiate safety awareness training, including Health and Safety orientation for new staff at plants and concessions to ensure adherence to the Health and Safety requirements.
• Conduct workplace inspection to ensure compliance to safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Manage audits and maintain up-to-date records for all documentations pertaining to Health and Safety matters.
• Lead investigation for any accident and provide incident report with measures to eliminate future occurrence.
• Analyze safety standards to develop and implement a safe work system companywide.
• Prepare monthly reports on safety statistic, progress and performance of Health and Safety department.

Requirements:

• Possess a recognized Diploma / Professional Certificate in Safety and Health Competency Course
• Minimum 3 years' experience in manufacturing with HSE supervision and implementation.
• Working knowledge of HSE compliance.
• Frequent field visits to production facility and concessions within Suriname will be required and conditions may vary from site to site.
• Effective communicator and able to interact with all level of staff.
• Knowledge of Dutch is definitely a plus.
• Preference will be given to those who are immediately available.
• Experienced candidates will be considered for a senior role
