General Manager - Plantations

Our client is looking for a General Manager - Plantations
The Broad Job Scope:

• Setting up plantations management systems (SOPs) including all technical agricultural policies
• Responsible for annual program, budget and capital expenditure requirements for the plantations
• Providing hands-on guidance to managers and assistant managers regarding all aspects of plantations management
• Manpower planning, recruitment Ems, assistant managers & field staff
• Start up plan and strategies / programmers toward RSPO certification

The Person:

• Diploma in Agriculture (otherwise extensive planting experience).
• At least 10 years working experience as plantations manager. Those with less years of experience can be considered for Assistant GM role.
• Those with working experience in Indonesia plantations will have an added advantage.
• Oil palm and rubber planting.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
• Ability to identify and manage strategic issues in relation to the project.
• Ability to build and coach a new team of plantations managers and staff.
• Ability to handle and manage Plasma farmers.
• Possess a pro-active attitude towards work, integrity, resourcesful and able to work independently.
• Able to handle work pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent soft skill and cross culture ability to deal with local communities.
• A good command of English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• Excellent English writing skill.
• Travelling between plantations estates in various parts of Central Kalimantan and South Sumatera will be necessary.
